Additional News & Information

Flying can change your life. Just imagine leaving Indianapolis at 8am for a 5 hour meeting in Evansville and being back home by 5pm, try that in an automobile. You could fly to Chicago for a day of shopping or a ball game and return home without being in a single traffic jam. Dinner with friends or family, but in Cincinnati or St. Louis, not the same old place around the corner. Even a local fun flight on a weekend afternoon is exciting. All of these things can be a reality when you learn to fly.

Your choice of an organization for flight training is an important one! You need to be sure that your instructor takes your safety as seriously as you do. At Indianapolis Aviation, you can rest easy! We take maintenance, instruction and, well, ... every aspect of flying VERY seriously. And, because we attend to every detail, you can give your full concentration to learning to be a safe and competent pilot. A pilot who knows how to deal with any situation that can arise. That's what we would want for ourselves. And, that's what you'll get from us!

The lowest price is not always the best deal. Most flight schools will quote the FAA minimum time of 40 hours when talking cost. The truth is 60 hours is the national average to earn a Private Pilot Certificate. That is why we also show you the costs for 50, 60, 65, and 70 hours, so you can see real costs up-front with no hidden surprises. Your costs like your safety are important to us.

Indianapolis Aviation boasts the largest non-university flight school in Indiana. The quality and experience of our staff of exceptional full time certified instructors is immediately apparent. From your very first flight all the way to your final exam with our on staff examiner all of your training can be taken care of on site. Any flight school can teach you to pass a checkride, at Indianapolis Aviation we train pilots. Stop in and you will know why more pilots train at Indianapolis Aviation than any other flight school in the metropolitan area.
